Established according to the decision of the General Assembly of the Council of Higher Education dated 23.09.2010, the Vocational School of Justice started education in the Justice Program with 57 students in the building of the Faculty of Law in the 2010-2011 Academic Year.
Our Vocational School provides education in the Justice Program/Department of Law and in the Criminal Execution and Security Services/Department of Property Protection and Security Services. Our Vocational School serves for the purpose of training intermediate staff required in the Ministry of Justice, in various units of other public and private institutions.
In the Justice Program, our students receive education in a way that they will have theoretical and practical knowledge. Besides meeting the requirement of other judicial bodies for intermediate staff, the graduates of this program also have opportunity to work at the departments of legal consultancies of public and private institutions. In addition, the graduates of the Justice Program have the right to continue their education at the Faculty of Law by means of Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
“Criminal Execution and Security Services” is a new program that started education with 40 students in the 2020-2021 Academic Year upon the approval of the Council of Higher Education and the cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Justice Directorate General of Prisons and Detention Houses. This program enables the graduates to be employed as corrections officers at the Penal Institutions and Directorates of Probation. In addition, the graduates of this program can continue their education at the undergraduate programs of “Emergency and Disaster Management”, “Political Science and Public Administration”, “Public Administration” and “Social Services” by means of Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
Educational activities are carried out by 8 teaching staff members in total at our Vocational School, including 5 at the Justice Program and 3 at the Criminal Execution and Security Services Program and with the assignment of academics from other departments of our University.
Our Vocational School, providing associate degree education, continues education at the building of the Faculty of Law. Aiming to be ranked among the Vocational Schools that provide qualified education among the distinguished universities in Turkey, our school takes steps to renew itself every day and contributes to its rapid growth and development.
Our School aims to ensure the reliability and robustness of policies and plans for the purpose of raising its success to the highest level with its strong administrative staff and with transparent and solution-oriented management approach. In this sense, the school is making progress academically and administratively day by day with its academic and administrative staff and with its efforts to improve the quality of education.
